I was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras into a large family with artistic genes and flair for business and entrepreneurship. When I was still an adolescent, my father was stationed in Europe as an ambassador giving me and my siblings a unique and different opportunity of studies. My interest and passion fell on cinema and photography. In time, I started film studies at the Taller de Artes Imaginarias (TAI) in Madrid.
After this I began my education in photography, learning with and from first-line photographers in the Madrid of the 80s such as Tim Hunt, Robert Royal, Michael Wray and Julio Castellanos. Although I am self-taught, these professional photographers marked my path and facilitated my integration in the market of photography.
I returned to Honduras in my adult years – now an experienced photographer with the vision to create my own photographic studio, and in any way possible support the general development of photography as an art and profession in my birth country. Through exhibitions, workshops, and publications I fought for making photography a recognized art form in Honduras.
Now I am once again back in Europe, this time a little further north and in the company of my Danish wife and our three children. However, the passion for photography is the same and I love to contribute to telling the story in need of being told, leaving a graphic testimony of the people I meet.

I always enjoyed and related to this quote from the book:
” The Latin American photographer doesn’t experiment, he “sees”. His photography is the fruit of an unmistakable interior predisposition towards the reality, related with a birth-given talent in the esthetic matters.

exhibitions
It is always a special and thrilling experience to be able to show my more personal, artistic and documentary photographic work to an interested audience.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to exhibit my work in different settings and countries.
On three occasions I was able to exhibit my work in Denmark: Galleri Image Aarhus (2000),Galleri Rosen Silkeborg (2001),Danmarks Foto Museum Herning (2003).
It was a great chance for me to be able to give a more contrasted view than normally given of my country Honduras, and to be able to share and interact with many photo enthusiasts in Denmark.

I am grateful to my clients and friends for all the opportunities they have given me to capture and share their images. Images that now offer a graphic testimony for many to enjoy, of lives lived and special moments shared. Thanks to all the artists in Honduras for allowing me to bear witness of your great work, to the publishing houses for their patience, to all whom I have crossed paths with, in my photographic career – none mentioned, none forgotten!
